What happens when ...

1/10 second the front bumper collapses ...

2/10 the hood crumples, the average driver continues forward weighing 3,200 pounds.

3/10 the frame of the steering wheel begins to bend under the driver’s grip.

4/10 the car’s front 24” are demolished, but the rear is still traveling at 33 mph.

5/10 the steering shaft penetrates the driver’s chest.

6/10 the car’s frame bends in the middle, the driver’s head crashes into the windshield.

7/10 shock has frozen the driver’s heart.  The driver is now dead.

Seven Tenths of a Second.

... a car, traveling at 55 miles per hour, crashes into a solid, immovable object? In 7/10th of a second you can be dead.
